Log monitoring

Syslog

The users can check various events and process information occurring in the system.

  1. Navigate to OwlDB Console screen > Monitoring > Log Monitoring > Syslog menu.

  2. Click the DB Alias, Instance Alias drop-down buttons to pull down the database and instance the users want to monitor.

  3. Check the log list.

  • The users can view them by setting the viewing period.

  • The users can check by searching for messages directly.


Bootlog

The users can check the status and error information related to the boot procedure to diagnose the cause of the problem.

  1. Navigate to the OwlDB Console screen > Monitoring > Log Monitoring > Bootlog menu.

  2. Click the DB Alias, Instance Alias drop-down buttons to pull down the database and instance to monitor.

  3. Check the log list.

  • The users can set the viewing period to view them.

  • The users can filter events, modes, and statuses.

  • The users can search and view messages directly.

  1. Click a message to see the detailed message.


Eventlog

The users can check information about warnings, errors, etc. that occur in the database.

Note

The users can pull down multiple databases and instances to monitor at the same time.

  1. Navigate to the OwlDB Console screen > Monitoring > Log Monitoring > Eventlog menu.

  2. Click the DB Alias, Instance Alias drop-down buttons to pull down the databases and instances the users want to monitor.

  3. Check the log list.

  • The users can view by setting the viewing period.

  • The users can filter the status to check.

  • The users can check by searching for messages directly.

Info

If the instance status changes

Warning

CPU usage exceeds 50

Memory usage exceeds 50

Error

CPU usage exceeds 90

Memory usage exceeds 90%.

Note

The users can go to the Eventlog page by clicking OwlDB Console Screen > Dashboard > Eventlog> More.
