Renewing BYOL licence

Renew the usersr BYOL license when it expires or if the users want to change the specification. The users can renew the usersr license up to 90 days before it expires. The users cannot renew a license if the database operational state is not Running, or if the instance state is Recovery, Disconnect.

Caution

The current BYOL licensing model does not support changing the instance specification. The users need to upload a license file with the same specification as the number of nodes the users are using.

1. Navigate to the OwlDB console screen > Administration menu.

2. Click the DB Alias drop-down button to pull down the database for which the users want to renew the license.

3. Click the Renew License button.

4. Attach the license file to be renewed.

5. Click the Save button.

Caution

The database must be restarted for the renewal to take effect. When restarting, all currently connected sessions will be terminated. It might take a few minutes before they are reactivated.
