Instance management
The users can monitor the status of running instances in OwlDB, and modify and restart them as needed. The buttons allow the users to quickly perform the desired action. Some information may be missing if the database operational status is not Running
, or if the instance status is Recovery
, Disconnect
.

Viewing instance Information
Navigate to the OwlDB console screen > Administration > Overview menu.
Click the DB Alias drop-down button to pull down the database to view the instance information.
Click the Instances tab.
In the Instances list, click the 'Instance Alias' for which the users want to view information.
Check the instance details.
Modifying instance information
Navigate to the OwlDB console screen > Administration > Overview menu.
Click the DB Alias drop-down button to pull down the database whose information the users want to modify.
Click the Instance tab.
In the Instances list, click the 'Instance Alias' whose information the users want to view.
Click the Edit button.
Modify the instance alias and description.
Click the Save button.
Restarting an Instance
Caution
When restarting the database, all currently connected sessions will be terminated.
It might take a few minutes before they are reactivated.
If the instance status is disconnect
after the restart, please contact AWS][email protected] or [Azure][email protected] depending on the usersr CSP.

Click the DB Alias drop-down button to pull down the database to view the instance information.
Click the Instances tab.
In the Instances list, click the 'Instance Alias' the users want to restart.
Click the Restart button.
